About this property

Welcome to Bodega Cove

Set on Galiano Island, Bodega Cove offers a quiet retreat with a rustic yet modern atmosphere. The resort hotel features cozy cabins designed for relaxation, each furnished to create a comfortable and inviting space. Guests appreciate thoughtful touches like wood-burning fireplaces, deep soaking tubs, and well-equipped kitchens that make longer stays practical. While the property is not directly on the waterfront, it sits just across the road from a small beach area accessible by a public trail, ideal for ocean viewing and sunset moments.

The accommodations maintain a smoke-free environment and provide free Wi-Fi and parking for convenience, though notable amenities like air conditioning, a pool, fitness center, or on-site restaurant are not available. Visitors planning to bring electric vehicles will find several Tesla superchargers and a level 2 charger onsite. Feedback indicates that the cabins offer a clean, well-maintained setting with sufficient space, though some note compact shower areas and warm daytime temperatures during summer months.

The location benefits those seeking outdoor activities and nearby sightseeing options. Attractions such as Dionisio Point Provincial Park and Penelakut Island are within easy reach, while the Salt Spring Wild Cider House is a popular spot in the surrounding region. Access from major airports like Vancouver and Victoria requires a two-hour car journey, underlining the resort’s secluded, slow-paced environment that suits guests looking to disconnect and unwind.

Reviewers frequently highlight the property’s peaceful ambiance and friendly, helpful staff, making it a good fit for travelers wanting a low-key escape. Whether arriving solo, as a couple, or in a small group, Bodega Cove caters to those prioritizing comfort, nature, and a relaxed pace over extensive facilities or bustling nightlife.

We enjoyed our stay at Bodega Cove so much! We were looking for a peaceful relaxing getaway and our Cove cabin offered that and so much more. Loved the little beach across the road for an ocean dip, and the Pink Geranium a couple minutes walk away was such a treat. Gracious and friendly host went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Definitely recommend for a low-key quiet escape.

Great staying for 3 days and 2 nights! The cabin is comfortable. Beautiful, clean, quite, and very friendly, helpful staff. The shower space is a bit too tiny for ppl who are not skinny thought…it could get quite hot during the day but cooling down during night time. Easy to cook light dishes. Better to bring your own EV charger with an extension cord. They have three Tesla super chargers and one level 2 charger for all the other type EV vehicles at Bodega Ridge, but nothing at the Cove. Depending on if you can bear smell of marijuana, it might be a problem having another cabin very close by when they are smoking in the cabin or on their deck.

Stayed 3 nights in Cove 4; cozy, modern rustic one-bedroom cabin that has all you need for a comfortable stay (bring some food to make breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc., as there are no nearby bakery or eateries but you can drive back towards the ferry for options. Bodega Ridge’s restaurant may not be open during the week or some weekends). The cabin’s wood burning fireplace is great (and supplied fire wood) to heat up the sitting area and add ambience. The deep soaker tub also great (could fit two). Nice, large deck to enjoy the outdoors; even in early December we took advantage of it (along with the nice wool blanket). Note that the property itself is not right on the water - the water is across the street, and there is public access down a short trail to get to the water but it is not a beach per se. For that I’d give the property a 4.5 rating, but overall, I’d say 5 stars is nevertheless deserved. Good walking trails nearby, friendly and helpful staff when needed, plus Galiano’s laid back, no traffic, no street lights, non-rushed atmosphere … all contribute to a relaxing getaway. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bodega Cove to anyone looking for a getaway either alone or with a larger group.

Recently stayed a few nights at Bodega Cove with my partner and pup and it was wonderful. Food was great at Luna and the Bodega Cove cabins were clean and cozy. The short walk to the water to watch the sunset was an added bonus! Will definitely stay here in the future when we come back to Galiano!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at cabin #5 at Bodega Cove with our pup and it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality. The cabins provided a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabins were spacious, comfortable, and meticulously clean. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail and the rustic yet luxurious decor that perfectly complemented the mountain ambiance. The cozy bed ensured a restful night's sleep. Across the street from the cabins, you will find a small spot with a bench to watch the picturesque sunset. Amazing! There was a plum tree outside our cabin - the plums were delicious. One night, we saw two beautiful deers rummaging outside of our cabin - what a true delight! We also had the opportunity to dine at Lola, the restaurant on site, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It may also be worthy to note that there are multiple free EV chargers on site. I would definitely return.

Awesome cabins in a beautiful location! Smells like cedar when you walk in, and the freestanding bathtub and heated floors in the bathroom are a great touch. Super comfy beds too. The ocean is about 20 steps away if you want to go paddling or just watch the sun set from the thoughtfully placed bench.

Bodega Cove offers such peaceful and precious accommodations which photograph so beautifully. The bath tubs in the suites are especially iconic. I'm a Galiano elopement and wedding photographer and here are some of my favourite moments from M + C's May elopement which we captured at Montague beach.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort and would absolutely return. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with a real sense of privacy that makes it easy to relax the moment you arrive. Everything feels thoughtfully designed without being overdone. It is comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. The accommodations strike a great balance between cozy and modern. The space felt inviting and functional, with small details that made a difference, like comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and a layout that made it easy to unwind after a day outdoors. Sitting on the deck in the morning with coffee or winding down in the evening was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The location is ideal if you are looking to slow down and disconnect. It is quiet, scenic, and close enough to nature that you feel immersed, but not so remote that it is inconvenient. Whether you are here as a couple or just looking for a calm reset, it is an easy place to feel at home. Overall, this resort delivers exactly what it promises. A relaxing, comfortable escape in a beautiful setting. It is the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you have even left.
